About me:
I am a 30+ school teacher who has been interested in roller derby since 2005. I finally had a chance to join a league, Assassination City Roller Derby, in 2008. I skated for about a year and a half before I gave it up due to financial issues and personal problems. When I stopped skating, I gained 50 pounds.
I've been easing my way back into derby by volunteering as a Non-Skating Official, and while that's great and all, I really want to skate again. I want that fire and passion back, and more than that, I want to come back better than ever.
This blog is not about a simple weight-loss or fitness journey. It's about my journey toward becoming a beast on the flat track. Here you'll find posts about exercise and food, and also lots and lots of posts about roller derby: the lifestyle, the boutfits, the injuries.
